Utassy is proud to have had Marina Berezowsky AM – Artistic Director of Kolobok Dance Company, character teacher at The Australian Ballet School for 16 years teaching at Utassy from 1988 till 1992. Other influences and teachers have been Marguarita Villa and Ayano Kitaoji (Spanish and Flamenco), Sue Street (Serbian, Rumanian), Mary Grantham (Irish). Guest teachers Guillermo Keys-Arenas (Mexican), Anatoli Borzov. (Russian) Eugene Zubatov (Ukrainian)
Students are encouraged to attend at least two classical classes before enrolling for additional Character which are options available for students from Junior Fourth upwards.
